IT’S SIMPLE…
All you have to do is collect four tokens from your local newspaper, which will be printed over 3 weeks from w/c 31 December 2012 to w/c 14 January 2013, and fill in your details on the right hand side of this page. When you submit, you will be taken through to the East Coast Reader Offer site, which will guide you through the simple booking instructions. Four tokens will allow up to four people to travel.
Tokens will be appear in the Malton & Pickering Mercury on January 2nd, 9th & 16th 2013. The Scarborough News, Pocklington Post, Bridlington Free Press and Driffield Times & Post will print tokens on January 3rd, 10th & 17th 2013. The Whitby Gazette will print tokens on January 4th, 11th & 18th 2013.

WHEN TO TRAVEL
Reader Offer fares are available for travel between Monday 14th January 2013 and Friday 22nd March 2013, excluding 15 – 24 February 2013 (inclusive), for travel on off-peak services. When you travel, you must have your train ticket, seat reservation and tokens with you as you'll need to show these when requested by the train guard. The offer is subject to availability, which may be limited on peak services and on Fridays and Sunday afternoons. Bookings must be made at least seven days in advance.

To access the offers site and book your tickets, please complete your details in the boxes on the panel of this page. Once submitted this will take you through to the reader offer booking site. Once there, simply enter your journey details and you’ll be guided to the journeys with availability. Booking for this promotion is open from 9am on 7th January to midnight on 16th January 2013.
Please note the offer is only accessible when you use the link on this page – you won’t be able to find it using an internet search engine. The offer is not available, and can’t be booked at stations or by phone.

In addition to the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, the following Terms and Conditions apply: Your ticket(s) are only valid for the date, East Coast train and reserved seat(s) shown on your ticket(s). You must also take with you the appropriate voucher(s) for inspection on the train, without which a 'Reader Offer' ticket is not valid. Changes to travel plans are not permitted with this ticket. Please note that if you travel by any other train than the one shown on your ticket & reservation, a new ticket must be purchased. You may not start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from East Coast connecting trains where these are shown on your ticket or itinerary. Your ticket is non-refundable, should you decide not to use it. If the East Coast train on which you are reserved is cancelled or delayed by more than 60 minutes, special arrangements will be made to accommodate you on another train (although a seat cannot be guaranteed), or to refund your ticket provided your journey has not yet commenced. No Railcard, child or any other discounts can be used in conjunction with this offer. Under 5s travel free if they do not occupy a seat. Tickets must be booked by using the booking panel on the right of this web page only. The offer is subject to availability and must be booked at least one week ahead of travel. There will be no availability on some trains. The offer is in First and Standard Class. If you purchase a Standard Class ticket, no upgrades to First Class will be allowed except at weekends where you can purchase a 'Weekend First' supplement on board the East Coast train on which you are booked (subject to availability). A £5 supplement applies to Weekend First and First Class offer tickets for access to East Coast First Class Lounges.
